This year has been a year like no other, with many Australian families doing it tougher than ever before. As a show of support, this Christmas we will be donating $100,000 across three essential charities who are making an impact with families right across Australia; Lifeline, Starlight Children's Foundation and The Salvation Army.
IUA have engaged the Isuzu community and partners to determine how this donation will be distributed amongst these three charities—so they too can be involved in helping to spread the Christmas Spirit.
“Isuzu UTE Australia is honoured to help bring reprieve to those who are struggling this Christmas, and encourage other Australians to do the same. By contributing to these three essential charities, allows them to continue to provide life-saving and much needed services, to people right across the country,” said Isuzu UTE Australia Managing Director, Hiroyasu Sato.
The holiday season is the busiest time of year for Lifeline. Last year they received over 98,000 calls in December. Then, on New Year’s Day, they had the busiest day in their almost 60-year history, with 3,726 calls for help in one day. As the national leader in crisis support and suicide prevention, Lifeline is there for people in crisis any time of the day or night, every single day of the year - including over the holiday season.
For over 30 years, Starlight Children’s Foundation brighten the lives of seriously ill children and their families. This donation will help grant life-changing Starlight Wishes as well as support Starlight’s vital in-hospital programs to help bring happiness to sick kids when they need it most.
The Salvation Army have been bringing hope to people experiencing hardship or injustice for over 140 years. The Salvation Army Christmas Appeal gives families the urgent help they desperately need to heal, with the support of a caring Salvo and a Christmas lunch with presents for the kids.
The donation towards these three impactful charities, will see that some much-needed support and joy will go to families and individuals who need it. This Christmas, Isuzu UTE Australia encourages the community to show their support towards not-for-profit organisations like Lifeline, the Starlight Children’s Foundation and the Salvation Army who are continuing to make a difference right across the country.
